The 3.37 acres of land between the adult softball field and tennis courts in Keswick Park is for sale again and the City of Chamblee has an opportunity to make a purchase offer to the seller. Likewise, a developer is also potentially interested in purchasing this land to build a residential development. Consequently, the property is expected to go under contract this week. Therefore, time is of the essence for the city to evaluate whether it is financially feasible to pursue a formal offer at this time. In order to proceed, there must be some concensus among City Council members to investigate the possibility of a purchase. Therefore, we are once again asking the community to encourage our elected officials to seriously consider this opportunity before it is too late. Please contact all elected officials to express your feelings regarding this topic, contact our city council members. This website contains several links so that residents can become more familiar with the background and facts about this piece of property. We hope you will take some time to carefully examine the issues and seriously consider the ramifications of forever changing this vital part of our community. We also encourage you to join our email list and address any concerns you have. Concerned Citizens feels that we should and
do have a choice in what happens to our park and that the City of Chamblee citizens are entitled to a thorough examination of all options to determine the financial feasibility of purchasing this property. As a united
